This former Upper King Street bank building has been transformed into a bustling Southern seafood hall and oyster bar by James Beard Award winner Chef Mike Lata.  Offering a selection of coastal dishes, The Ordinary serves up pristine seafood from ACE Basin, Capers Inlet and Katama Bay.

A must try – The Ordinary Lobster Roll – a deliciously warm buttery bun stuffed with lobster salad that perfectly blends mayo and spices.


The Grocery - Upper King Street - Charleston, SC

The Grocery:

Boasting a seasonal menu composed of local and regional ingredients; The Grocery embodies a gathering place of warmth and familiarity.  This Upper King Street location, once a former furniture warehouse, features an in-house canning program utilized within the menu as well as an extensive cocktail and wine list.

A Must Try – From the “Bites” menu – Wood Roasted Clams, Linguica Sausage, Fennel, Tomato -or- “Table” entrees which are crafted to split between the entire party.


Stars Restaurant - Upper King Street - Charleston, SC

Stars Restaurant – Rooftop & Grill Room:

Stars, another Upper King Street location (notice the trend?) features “Modern Southern American” cuisine.  Unique culinary techniques turn locally sourced foods into mouth watering works of art by focusing on seasoning, balance, pairing and presentation.  The originally preserved building also features a rooftop bar and lounge offering stunning 360 degree views of the Charleston skyline.
